The Mirage is known to Las Vegas regulars as the hotel that escorted in the new age of Las Vegas. When it was built in 1989, it was the most expensive mega-resort in history – just over $630-million. The Mirage is a very popular and well-kept property in Las Vegas. In 2008, it underwent a top-to-bottom renovation of the entire property – revamping rooms to adding special effects to the famous erupting volcano.

The Mirage is based on a luxury, tropical theme. However, as a whole, it provides a relaxed atmosphere throughout the casino, restaurants and rooms. The expansive and inviting atrium rain forest guides you to all other areas of the hotel. Even if you're not staying at the Mirage, don't miss the nearly 60-foot-long aquarium that is located directly behind the guest check in desk. The post-renovation rooms are said to be some of the nicest in Las Vegas. The Mirage is also located in the thick of things – right between Caesars Palace and Treasure Island. It's location makes easy access to The Venetian and Bellagio as well.
